Carmen Berkley

Carmen, Field Director of Choice USA, leads the dynamic field & trainings department, which trains, develops and mobilizes youth reproductive justice leaders. Prior to Choice USA, Carmen served as the Deputy Director of Field and Turnout for the One Nation Working Together Campaign, where she helped organize hundreds of thousands of people to march on Washington. In 2009, Carmen served as a Regional Field Director for the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Prior to the NAACP, Carmen took her skills to the field to serve as a healthcare consultant for the Center for Community Change and PowerPac.org. In 2007, Carmen had the pleasure of serving millions of students as President of the United States Student Association, where she led students through the 2008 election and many legislative victories. Her love of training and leadership development allowsher to serve as a Trainer for Campus Camp Wellstone and Principal Training Consultant for Can’t Stop Won’t Stop, LLC. She is a graduate of the Universityof Pittsburgh and serves as a board member to the United States StudentAssociation Foundation and Co-Chair of the National Youth Advisory Board forthe National Coalition on Black Civic Participation.
