As Wellstone’s Vice President of Development, Andy Fuller leads Wellstone’s development team and guides the organization’s fundraising efforts. He has over 15 years of experience building relationships with, and raising money from, individuals and institutional partners for international and state-based progressive policy and advocacy organizations, including the BlueGreen Alliance, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, and Growth & Justice. He has led grassroots and major donor fundraising strategies, secured significant funding from private foundations and governmental agencies, and developed partnerships with labor and business sponsors for national conferences and events.
Andy grew up in western Wisconsin. After earning a B.A. in American studies from the University of Minnesota, he moved to Seattle with his band. Instead of becoming a rock star, he marched alongside the United Steelworkers and environmentalists to protest the World Trade Organization, which set him on a path of working for organizations fighting for social justice, progressive policies, and more democratic institutions.
Andy holds an MPA with a concentration in nonprofit leadership from the University of Minnesota's Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and is a proud 2003 Camp Wellstone alum. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two sons, and serves on the board of the Standish-Ericsson Neighborhood Association and its community organizing team.
