About the performance: Based on the report by the Advocates for Human Rights, this performance is an artistic portrayal of the challenges facing battered refugee and immigrant women when negotiating legal, medical, and government systems.

The Sheila Wellstone Institute (SWI) at Wellstone Action Fund has developed its own unique Voter Safety Training program, specifically designed to build political power for survivors and advocates in their work to end domestic and sexual violence. These trainings strengthen the capacity and skills of survivors, advocates, and communities by providing hands-on training in leadership, strategic planning, coalition-building, grassroots organizing, and social change advocacy.
