The progressive voice in America is gaining strength and momentum. Individuals are making a difference in their communities by coming together, organizing and taking back their democracy. This is a true grassroots movement.
At Wellstone Action we have been honored to be a part of this groundswell of progressive activity. In the past 12 months, more than 5,000 people have honed their skills as political activists in our Camp Wellstone training program. Camp Wellstone graduates have gone on to lead political and issue campaigns, run for elected office and organize in their communities.
Since not everyone can attend Camp Wellstone, we want to bring some of the practical skills we teach at camp to all of you - our online members! We have created a special monthly online newsletter called the Organizing Corner. It features practical "How To" information, inspirational stories and links to additional resources and training. This first issue focuses on voter registration. Upcoming issues will give you practical skills and useful organizing information on voter education, how to be an effective volunteer and Get Out the Vote. Let us know what you think.
