Growing our Team: Welcoming Three New PPL Staff

We are so pleased to announce the newest members of our Public and Political Leadership Team! Martín, Britney, and Mackenzie join Mónica G. Pérez and Toria C. Boldware building local leadership across the country. (Read more about Wellstone's PPL work here)

Martín Diego Garcia
Martín Diego Garcia joins Wellstone as Director, Public and Political Leadership. Martín most recently worked as Director of Campaigns at Latino Victory Project (LVP) where he led the strategy and implementation of LVP’s work around campaigns, candidate training, and digital presence. He’s also been an Account Manager at The Campaign Workshop, where he led the development and implementation of their training programs and also served as their lead trainer. Martín is a proud Wellstone Train the Trainer alum, as well as an alum of New Organizing Institute. 

 

Britney Whaley
Britney Whaley joins the team as Principal, Public and Political Leadership. An ACMS alumna, Britney joins Wellstone with varied experience ranging from former Chief of Staff in the New York State Assembly to NYC Political Director with our partners at the Working Families Party. Britney has managed a number of campaigns for progressive, labor and women of color candidates and has been an adjunct trainer with Camp Wellstone. 

 

 

 

Mackenzie Taylor
Mackenzie Taylor also joins the team as Principal, Public and Political Leadership. She’s a seasoned campaigner, and has won 32 of 34 electoral campaigns in her career at the local, state, and national level. Mackenzie was most recently Battleground State Director for Hillary for America. She has also worked with Labor, with the DFL Party in Minnesota, and as Campaign Manager for Wellstone alum, Pakou Hang, for City Council.
