As I reported earlier, wait times can be long and tedious on this Election Day. As you head out to the polls, you might be wondering what you can do while waiting to vote.
Here it is, the Wellstone Action Nonpartisan Guide to What to Do While Waiting in Line to Vote:
- Count all the people in the room who are wearing yellow.
- Look for your neighbors. Rank them (quietly in your head) according to who you like the best.
- Think about how after today you'll not see another political ad for several months....(we hope.)
- Pretend you are receiving important text messages "from the field"- when in fact you are playing solitaire.
- Strike up conversation with strangers by talking about your oval fill-in method.
- Contemplate what you'll do with your time now that this TWO YEAR election season is ending.
- Plan where you will put your "I Voted" sticker.
- Make the hard decision of who to write in for judge: Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart.
