Fawn Bernhardt-Norvell brings 13 years of non-profit and development experience to her work as Wellstone Action's Deputy Executive Director. Fawn began her career as the assistant finance director of the Wellstone Alliance. She continued on to be an Associate at Hartnett & Associates based in St. Paul, working with non-profit organizations such as Chautauqua on the River and the St. Paul Public Schools Foundation. In 1996 she moved to The Center for Victims of Torture, where she served as Manager of Institutional and Individual Philanthropy, specializing in direct mail, events, and foundation fundraising. In 2001 she joined Paul Wellstone's 2002 U.S. Senate campaign as the Deputy Finance Director.
Fawn volunteers and mentors campaign finance teams for many local, state, and national campaigns. In 2007 she was named a "Forty Under 40" Twin Cities leader by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal. Fawn earned her B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College in 1994, where she was student body president for two terms. Her electoral victory was credited to the winning campaign slogan, "Mow the Lawn, Vote for Fawn."
