When Paul Wellstone first ran for for office in 1990, he had limited funds, but lots of other assets: creativity, energy...and a bus. In order to meet Minnesotans all over the state, he bought a bus, painted it green and called it the Wellstone Bus. Voila - a legend was born!

• The bus is 34 years old
• It spent the past 6 years in a museum in Hibbing
• The engine was completely rebuilt after the '96 campaign. It works a lot better now!
