Andrew Zucker comes to Wellstone Action! from a campaign background, recently having taken eighteen months leave from school at Ohio University to work on Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Andrew began as an assistant to the National Field Director in Chicago, IL and after a long primary campaign that included stints in Arizona, Iowa, Texas, and Colorado where he was Youth Vote Director, worked on the Minnesota campaign as the state's Youth Vote Director for the general election. In 2008, Minnesota lead the nation in youth voter turnout.
Before his campaign employment and leave of absence from OU, Andrew was the Ohio State Director of Students for Barack Obama, the official student wing of the Obama for America campaign. Before attending college, Andrew worked at Medical Mutual in Ohio as a sales and marketing intern.
Andrew is currently a senior at Ohio University, pursuing his BA in Political Science with a specialization in American Politics and a minor in Political Communication. He is an active member of Ohio College Democrats where he has volunteered on numerous electoral campaigns at every level, and the Publicity Manager for the acclaimed Singing Men of Ohio, the first glee club in the state of Ohio.
